Is the sparkling can the same formula as the powder?
The electrolyte profile is identical: 400mg sodium, 190mg potassium, 80mg magnesium per serve, all in citrate form. The difference is format. The can is a ready-to-drink 330ml sparkling drink, while the powder is a mix-yourself format. If you want the PILLAR electrolyte formula without the mixing, the can delivers it.

When should I drink it?
Any time of day works. Most people are dehydrated on waking, so there's a real benefit to having one first thing in the morning. It also works well 30 minutes before training, during lower-intensity sessions, or immediately after high-intensity training to begin the rehydration process. The carbonation makes it a clean, refreshing alternative to plain water or sugary sports drinks.

Is it low sugar?
Yes. Zero grams of sugar per can. Naturally sweetened using Steviol Glycosides and Monkfruit Extract, which give it a clean, lightly sweet flavour without the sugar load.

What does 'hypotonic' mean on the label, and why does it matter?
Osmolarity describes the concentration of dissolved particles in a fluid. A hypotonic drink has a lower concentration than blood plasma, which means the body absorbs it faster than plasma. Ideal for rapid hydration. Hypertonic drinks (like most sugary soft drinks or high-sodium sports drinks) pull water out of the body and into the gut, causing bloating and delaying hydration. PILLAR Sparkling sits well within the hypotonic range. Hydrates quickly, no osmotic backlash.

Can I drink it during exercise?
It works best before or after exercise rather than mid-session at high intensity. The carbonation can cause discomfort during very high-intensity efforts. For on-the-go hydration during training, the powder format mixed to 500ml or 1L is more practical. The can is ideal for pre-training, post-training, morning hydration, or any time you want a convenient, clean option.
