Located in Vancouver, Arc'teryx is built on the principle of obsessive, precise design and production. Arc’teryx recognised that the only way to build the right gear for this environment was to build the company in this environment surrounded by the Coast Mountains. Their unique in-house manufacturing and design centres allow them to constantly evolve and build products the right way. Arc’teryx is named after a 140 million year old creature, the Archaeopteryx, with the logo being the fossils of this creature which made an evolutionary leap forward to escape the horizontal world of dinosaurs and developed feathers for flight. Arc’teryx has embodied this creature’s evolutionary leap forward and aims to radically improve the status quo rather than focussing on incremental advancements.
