This lightweight shell jacket is made for demanding alpine climbing but works perfectly for all-season mountaineering adventures, including trekking and ski touring.
Norrøna use the GORE-TEX® PRO fabric because it is the world-leading environmentally responsible membrane for durable waterproofness, optimized breathability and total windproofness.
The GORE-TEX ePE (expanded polyethylene) membrane is a key milestone in the responsible performance journey, providing high-performing, durable products that are engineered for long product life.
The GORE‑TEX ePE membrane is light and thin, yet strong, and it's PFAS free (under 50ppm) with a reduced carbon footprint. To form new GORE‑TEX products, the membrane is combined with carefully selected textiles, including recycled ones.
The top hood, shoulders, and elbow panels are reinforced with a 3-layer 70Dx160D GORE-TEX® with a 100% recycled nylon face to provide extra protection and durability.
Key features include a storm hood fitted for a climbing helmet with one-hand adjustment, asymmetric cuffs with Velcro® adjustments, two-way under-arm ventilation, strategically placed napoleon pockets to avoid interference with harness and backpack, and a two-way front zip for flexible ventilation.
The jacket has a technical fit with a Y-cut and articulated arms for good movement while climbing. A longer cut in the back ensures extra protection.
